When the Oscars paid tribute to Sridevi and Shashi Kapoor!

It is always a sad thing whenever our beloved public figures depart for heaven in such unprecedented ways, and the recent sudden heavenly departures of two of Indian cinema’s most beloved artists, Shashi Kapoor and Sridevi has reminded us of that once again.

But, it seems like just like us, the west had been grieving over their loss but quite privately.

It so happened that earlier this morning, the 90th Academy Awards paid tribute to the late legendary actors Sridevi (who passed away on February 24, 2018) and Shashi Kapoor (who left for the heavenly abode on December 4, 2017). Lead vocalist of Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder took to stage to pay tribute to the late Bollywood superstars.

He performed Tom Petty’s Room At The Top during In Memoriam montage.
