OMG! Krushna to stop roasting celebs on CNBT!

Krushna Abhishek’s ‘Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza’ is in news for all the wrong reasons for quite a while now. A lot of celebs have been complaining that the roast format is being taken too seriously by the show’s host. Just a few months back, Akshay Kumar had lost his cool after some unpleasant comments were passed about his ‘Housefull 3’ co-star, Lisa Haydon. Then the hosts of the show faced flak for racist remarks on ‘Parched’ actress, Tannishtha Chatterjee. And now, after John Abraham made an exit from the sets of the show, it is in the news again!

We guess the makers of CNBT have learnt their lesson the hard way as they have decided to revamp the show and get rid of its comedy roast format. Krushna told a leading daily, “While several celebrities have appreciated the content, a few of them felt offended. We don’t want to irk people further and have decided to tone down the content. I don’t wish to put my relationships at stake for the sake of comedy. We will indulge only in healthy leg pulling. My co-actors are also in favour of this decision.”

CNBT is famous for its roast format, which is also the show’s USP. When asked Krushna if this format change will affect the rating of the show, he said, “I don’t think so. In any case, we can’t spoil relationships for better ratings.”

The comedian regretted taking digs at John Abraham recently and also made a public apology to the star. We feel, this change of format has also been done keeping in mind that yesteryear’s actresses Helen and Bindu will be gracing the guests chair very soon. (And the makers don’t want to make any
