Om Puri passes away at 66 due to a cardiac arrest

A fine actor, a fine human being, Om Puri Bollywood’s veteran actor passed away this morning due to a cardiac arrest. Even though we are yet to get an official statement from the family, we are absolutely taken aback by this ace actors passing away.

‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ director Karan Johar took to Twitter and expressed his grief for the great loss Bollywood has faced. He tweeted saying –  “Solid actor….Solid filmography….immense talent…. #RIPOmPuri ….cinema has truly lost a brilliant artist…”

Anupam Kher also tweeted in regard with Om Puri’s death expressing –  “Seeing him lying on his bed looking so calm can’t believe that one of our greatest actors #OmPuri is no more. Deeply saddened & shocked.” His ex-wife, Nandita Puri and son Ishaan have been left behind by the classic Bollywood star.

Having done multiple films like East, Code 46, The Parole Officer and more Om Puri was not only a star in Bollywood, but Hollywood too.

His loss will be deeply felt both in Bollywood and Hollywood.
