Mental Hai Kya: When the lead pair LOST THEIR MINDS!

Off late, it seems like dark comedies such as Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming production, Mental Hai Kya has become all the rage, and, whether the film would be replete of it or not, almost EVERY OTHER film (including Padmaavat) now comes with a dash of quirky humor. But, what would happen when a film that is full of it finally goes on floors? It would be safe to say that Insanity will be injured severely.

And, if these latest posters of the upcoming flick are to go by, that’s exactly what Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao are dealing with, now that the filming of this mad comedy has finally begun.

Speaking about the same, Ekta Kapoor said, “This is one of my favorite scripts. We’ve tried to bend the genre by adding dollops of black humor to it. With the crazy looks, the aim is to only redefine thrillers. I have worked with both (Kangana and Rajkummar) before. Raj and Kangana teaming up together after Queen further adds to the excitement. They have always taken the road less traveled, and played characters that have been emotionally and physically challenging. As artists, they are hungry for something different and I identify with this drive.”

Also, Ranaut shares her insecurity of working with Rao after Queen by saying, “He(Raj) is a star today while still being a brilliant actor, so I will have to be on my toes to ensure he doesn’t steal the show from right under my nose.”
