MANIKARNIKA: This actor lashes out at the makers for non-payment of dues!
The Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has been in the midst of controversies for several reasons. Now, according to the latest news, actor Andy Von Eich, who stars in the film, tweeted about not being paid fully by the production house for his role in the film. He later deleted the post after six hours.
Soon, the accusations were dismissed by Kamal Jain who is producing the film in association with Zee Studios and Nishant Pitti. He further clarified that all the payments due have been made except to one vendor who is arm twisting them. He had said in a statement that they had filed a complaint against the vendor with the Film and TV Producers Guild of India and Allied Union.
He said they respect every ones’ hard work that had gone into the film and thankful to every vendor who had helped them to make the film. Incidentally, a few weeks back, there were reports on the non-payment to the laborers of the film, when Kangana had said she will not go to the promo launch and not promote the film even if one laborer’s money is stuck and said things like this should not be tolerated.
Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Ranaut, Manikarnika:The Queen of Jhansi is set to hit the screens on 25th January next year.
