Kangana Ranaut to flag off 8th AU Jaipur Marathon!
Rangoon star Kangana Ranaut will be flagging off the 8th edition of the prestigious AU Jaipur Marathon. This is an event which attracts over 55,000 people, which includes athletes and media from around the globe. This is a statement by Mukesh M, CEO, Jaipur Marathon.
The said event is a thematic one. And the theme for this year is Women Empowerment. Given the theme in mind, Kangana Ranaut seemed to be the perfect fit, for she is considered to be the epitome of Women’s Achievements!
“She (Kangana) will be in the Character from her upcoming Film ‘Rangoon’ and will make her Appearance in a Classic Vintage Car in her Sophie get-up from the film” says Vijayta V Gandhi, Convenor – Jaipur Marathon. She adds “I would like to Thank Rekha ji (Bhardwaj) for her support in this endeavor.
In the past, this particular event has been flagged off by Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Farhan Akhtar, Sonam Kapoor and Arbaaz Khan-Malaika Arora for their respective films.
Is is a matter of great joy for the runners of the grand marathon as the track route of the event in question has received certifications from International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and The Association of International Marathon and Distance Races (AIMS), who had measured the track In October 2016!
