HURRAY! Gold’s teaser WINS BIG already!

Since the day the film was announced, there has been a tremendous amount of anticipation for as much as a new still from Akshay Kumar’s upcoming sports period film, Gold, and then, came in the one-minute-long teaser just about yesterday.

And now, this very minute-long presentation of ‘Gold’, a film which recreates the Golden victory of India, has already crossed the 15 million views mark across social media platform.

With this, the teaser has emerged to be one of most watched ones in 24 hours.

In the film, based on India winning the Olympic gold medal in hockey as an independent nation in 1948, Akshay will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar. Akshay Kumar portrays the character of a Hockey Coach that led the Indian hockey team to its first gold medal as a free nation at the Olympics in the 1940’s.

Set in the late 40’s, the teaser captures the essence of the period perfectly, gripping the audience’s attention.

‘Gold’ marks to be the first association between Akshay Kumar and Excel Entertainment led by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.

The film is directed by Reema Kagti and marks the Bollywood debut of actress Mouni Roy opposite Khiladi Kumar.

Staying true to the genre of the film, the film is to release on Independence Day this year.
