Complaint against Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty REJECTED!
Unlike in the west, you really have to mince your words here in India, particularly when you’re a celebrity and the attentiveness of the media is perpetually on your life and every statement that you make is expectedly taken out of context and blown out of proportion. What follows next is a series of controversies and sometimes, burning of effigies and registration of police complaints.
Recently, Salman Khan, jovially and unintentionally, made a certain remark about the Valmiki Community, by using the word ‘ Bhangi’, on a reality show. The same situation happened with Shilpa Shetty on a different set. A complaint was registered against both the actors for hurting the sentiments of the religious community. However, in a major relief for both Salman and Shilpa, the complaint has been rejected by the Ludhiana Court. In fact, a fine of Rs. 10,000 has been imposed on the said lawyer, Narinde Adia, for filing a complaint on baseless reasons.
This indeed is a huge relief for both the actors, particularly Salman Khan, whose fate in the Black Buck case still hangs in the balance. Currently out on bail, the next hearing in the case will be held on the 7th of May, 2018. The actor, at present, is gearing up for the release of Race 3, scheduled for a 15th June, 2018 release.
