Major mishap on the sets of Akshay Kumar & Parineeti Chopra’s Kesari
The much ambitious period drama, Kesari, starring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra, and produced by Karan Johar, recently underwent a mishap that shocked the entire unit. The crew was shooting a war sequence in Wai, Maharashtra, when suddenly a blast destroyed the whole set. Reportedly, all the cameras were also wrecked in the catastrophe.
However, the good thing is that no casualties or injuries have been reported from the sets and fortunately, everyone from the crew is unscathed. That said, it seems Kesari makers have to recreate the set to re-shoot the war sequence and sources suggest it would take at least 10 days for them to finish shooting this particular sequence.
As reported earlier, the film narrates the tale of the Battle of Saragarhi, where 21 Sikh soldiers fought an army of 10,000 soldiers. But it’s not only Akshay Kumar who will be starring in a film on this subject; Randeep Hooda is also currently working on the same subject, which is being directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, and if reports are to be believed, Ajay Devgn’s next directorial also may be on this subject.
As for Kesari, the film is directed by Anurag Singh and all set to release on the occasion of Holi 2019.
