Aashiqui 3 has been shelved and we know why!

‘Aashiqui’ the 1990’s blockbuster film starring Rahul Roy and Annu Agarwal was a delight for audiences. The film was not only loved because of the storyline but also for its music. Similarly the second instalment of the film, Aashiqui 2 was widely appreciated by the audience and critics too.

Now, Bollywood is abuzz with rumours that Mahesh Bhatt is planning a third franchise of the film with actor daughter Alia Bhatt. In a recent interview when Bhatt was asked about the same, he had something else to say.

He said, “Well there’s nothing serious going in that area as since some time it’s been rumored that she is playing the lead in Aashiqui 3. We are as of now nowhere close to say that it’s happening. The day it happens I’ll be the first person to proclaim that I’m working with Alia Bhatt but we as of now have no such plans to make a film called Aashiqui because we’re nowhere close to an idea which is called as go idea and only when an idea gets a hurrah from all of us as in idea to invest in we’ll not make a beginning.”

We guess we will have to wait to see this father-daughter duo create magic together.
