Sunny Leone’s Journey in Bollywood
From Bigg Boss to Raees and beyond – Sunny Leone’s journey is truly inspirational!
Sunny Leone has wowed us with her moves, killed us with her smile and made Bollywood a sexier place! To think of where she began her career and where she stands today truly is an inspirational story. She was judged and ridiculed for her adult film background by many when she entered B-Town, but today, we can safely say that Sunny Leone is one of the most popular actresses in the Bollywood industry.
It all began in 2011 when Sunny Leone entered the Bigg Boss house and her destiny changed forever. She came in as a wild card entry in week 8 of the show and was offered a role in Jism 2 by the movie maestro Mahesh Bhatt – (talk about her lucky stars!) The film was a sequel to the 2003 film Jism which originally starred Bipasha Basu and John Abraham.
After Jism 2 was a commercial success, Sunny landed Ekta Kapoor’s Ragini MMS 2, a supernatural thriller. Even though Ragini MMS 2 did not break the Box Office, it is easy to say that Sunny’s performance landed her more roles with the most affluent names in Bollywood.
Baby Doll Main Sone Di and Chaar Bottle Vodka became chart toppers which only added to Sunny Leone’s ever-growing success. While her following film titled, Ek Paheli Leela was not a box office success, she also featured in comedies like Kuch Kuch Locha Hai and Mastizaade which lent her an air of fun to her Bollywood personality.
Sunny Leone then began to take on the big guns when she did a cameo in Akshay Kumar’s Singh is Bliing, post which she also floored us all with her avatar in Laila Main Laila featured in Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees. Sunny will also soon be seen in another mega star’s film. Yes, after Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan, Sunny will be working with Ajay Devgn in Baadshaho.
In a short span of only six years, Sunny Leone has not only established herself as a successful actress, dancer and celebrity but also managed to win the hearts of many all around the world.
