Kick 2 to Kesari: Top movies which have already excited us for 2019

Though 2017 was not a good year for Bollywood in terms of Box office, 2018 seems to be a good year. With Padmaavat winning hearts at the box office many good movies like Robot 2.0, Race 3, Thugs Of Hindostan, ZERO, are also lined up for this year. Well, apart from 2018 film producers have already booked 2019 as well.

Here is a list of some big films which are lined up for 2019.

Thackeray
The teaser and the poster of Thackeray based on the film of Bal Thackeray left everyone speechless. Nawazuddin Siddiqui impressed everyone in the teaser. The film is being made by Rauters Entertainment, produced by Shiv Sena leader and producer-writer Sanjay Raut. The director is Abhijit Panse.

Super 30
Hrithik Roshan impressed us all with the first look of his upcoming film Super 30 based on the Patna-based mathematician Anand Kumar, the founder of the popular Super 30 program in Patna that grooms IIT aspirants.

Kesari
After months of speculations, Karan Johar finally announced Kesari starring Akshay Kumar. The movie is directed by Anurag Singh and will be based on The Battle of Saragarhi. Akshay Kumar’s first look from the film has increased a lot of excitement for the film. Parineeti Chopra will be cast opposite Akshay Kumar in the film.

Shiddat
The most exciting part about Shiddat is its stellar star cast. The film will have an ensemble cast of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Sridevi. Shiddat will be directed by Abhishek Varman and will be produced by Dharma Productions and Nadiadwala Grandson.

Bharat
Starring Salman Khan Bharat will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Atul Agnihotri. Bharat is an official adaptation of a South Korean film titled An Ode To My Father. The film will is based on a man who gets separated from his family during the Korean war and how he manages to reunite with them. It will be interesting to see after the failure of Tubelight will the audience accept another war drama from Salman Khan.

Crack
Akshay Kumar announced Crack in 2016 but the film got delayed. Rumours had it that the project has been shelved but later the makers clarified that the project is in making and will hit the screens in 2019.

Brahmastra
Brahmastra is the first trilogy film. The movie will be directed by Ayan Mukerji and reports have it that Ranbir will be essaying the role of a fire-emitting superhero in the film. Brahmastra also stars Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. It will be produced by Karan Johar and Fox Studios.

After impressing us in Padmaavat, Ranveer Singh will soon step into the shoes of former Indian captain, Kapil Dev for 83. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film will present the story of skipper Kapil Dev and the Indian national cricket team when they left a whole country energized after winning the 1983 World Cup.

Hrithik Roshan vs Tiger Shroff
On the occasion of Yash Chopra’s birth anniversary, Yash Raj Films proudly announced Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff together for the first time in a thrilling action film. The film will be a face-off between the two stars and will be directed by Siddharth Anand. Vaani Kapoor will be playing the female lead opposite Hrithik in the film.

Housefull 4

Sajid Nadiadwala‘s Housefull 4 is all set to light up your Diwali in 2019. Directed by Sajid Khan the film will be the fourth installment of Housefull franchise. The film will be shot at beautiful locations of Himalaya and London. For the cast Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh have been finalized, other names like Sanjay Dutt John Abraham, Parineeti Chopra, Disha Patani, and Kiara Advani

Kick 2
Sajid Nadiadwala dropped a big news for all the bhai fans when he announced Kick 2. The movie is reported to go on floors by the mid of 2019. The cast of the film is not yet finalized.

Tanaji
Ajay Devgn surprised everyone when he released the first look poster of Tanaji. The film will be based on the legendary Maratha warrior Subedar Taanaji Malusare who was a close friend and aide to Chhatrapati Shivaji and is better known for the Battle of Sinhagad. Although Taanaji lost his life in the battle, he is remembered even today by playing a vital part of various Marathi Ballads. The release date of the film is not revealed, but it will hit the screens in 2019.
