Here are the PERFECT choices for Shahid Kapoor’s Arjun Reddy remake!
The Telegu film industry surprised one and all when a fairly unconventional film, Vijay Devarakonda’s Arjun Reddy, since the film was an unconventional take on love, failed relationships and the eventual self-destruction, in which its leading man delivered a winning rebellious act that won him love and appreciation from about almost anyone who got a chance to catch it in theatres.
But now, we might just see history repeat itself again since an official Hindi remake of the blockbuster drama is on the cards, in which we will see Padmaavat star Shahid Kapoor essaying the part of the heartbroken medical surgeon.
But, who should be pitted opposite Kapoor as the female lead in the film we are talking about? Well, we have a few ideas.
So, without wasting any more of your time, let’s look into a handful of fitting candidates that we believe would justify the part like no one else.
From the time her (supposed) debut film Kedarnath went on floors to her recent appearance at a wedding reception, Sara Ali Khan has given us ample reasons already to be pumped about her first big screen stint. So, why wouldn’t we want the youngest Nawab of Pataudi to romance Kapoor in the remake? It’s pretty hard to think otherwise.
Another befitting artist that we think will perfectly fit the bill is Sridevi’s daughter dearest, Janhvi Kapoor. She has been creating a ton load of buzz for her debut film, Dhadak, courtesy the pictures from the sets that had been surfacing online at frequent intervals. Plus, she is SRIDEVI’S daughter! And as we all know, Sridevi is more than just an actor. She’s an institution all by herself. What better way to take her legacy forward than this film?

Having Shalini Pandey reprise the part from her very own debut film could work for the Hindi version on many levels. First, she’s a fantastic actress and the original film is proof. Second, with having her on board, the film could also appeal to the audience down south in a tremendous way. Third, the comparison between her equation with Vijay and Kapoor (should she get on board) could very well become the talking point. We are definitely rooting for this one here.
Although we have our fair share of reservations with regards to having Wasim on board (purely due to the fact that she looks relatively younger than the other candidates) It’s no secret that the Secret Superstar actor is a pretty advanced artist already, and she’s just two films old! So, it would be criminal to not include her here.
