From Ranbir to Vivek, celebs who shouldn’t have messed with Salman Khan
Salman Khan is an angel for everyone close to him but a devil for those who aren’t! A lot of people have rubbed the star the wrong way and paid for the same. So let’s have a look at some of the Bollywood celebrities who were involved in some major controversies with Bhai, some survived, some wrecked their careers:-
1. Vivek Oberoi
Possibly the biggest controversy of all time happened on the 1st of April, 2003, when the Yuva actor slammed the Dabangg star in an explosive and no-holds-barred press conference, and accused him of threat, abuse, and provocation. He also stated how Salman called him over 41 times in one night. All this happened because of one person- Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He was immediately outcast from the industry and Salman asked all his producer and director friends not to work with the actor. Vivek later apologized to Salman publicly at an award function, but Bhai being Bhai, was in no mood to say It’s Ok!
If Aishwarya was the common link between Salman and Vivek, Katrina Kaif became the reason for the tiff between him and Ranbir Kapoor. Everyone knows Katrina left Salman for Ranbir. The trio was seen together in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, who would’ve thought a year later, Salman and Ranbir wouldn’t even see eye-to-eye and even today, Ranbir makes sure he doesn’t bump into Bhai.
3. Arijit Singh
The singing sensation, who sings in almost every Hindi film, had his first tryst with controversy at the Star Guild Awards in 2014. When he came to collect his award, he was looking tired and sleepy, so Salman jokingly asked, “So gaye the kya?” to which Arijit replied, “Sula diya Bhai aap logon ne”. The rest is history! And as expected, Arijit was ousted from Salman’s film, Sultan, who was supposed to sing the song, Jag Ghoomeya. Though, the singer posted an apology and an explanation on his Facebook account, Bhai was in no mood to apologize!
You know before Satish Kaushik, Anurag was the one directing the 2003 hit, Tere Naam? All Anurag wanted was that Salman grows chest hair to make his character of Radhe more real, this didn’t go down well with Bhai, and the next day when Anurag went to the producer’s house, he was welcomed by a flying bottle of whiskey, and the producer furiously said, “ Saale Tu Salman Ko Baal Ugane Ko Bolega?” This was confessed by the director himself in one of his interviews. Since then, Salman and Anurag have never crossed paths.
5. Zubair Khan
Last year, on Bigg Boss 11, one of the contestants, Zubair Khan, abused a female contestant on one of the episodes. Salman was angry and said, “ Zubair Khan, agar maine tujhe Kutta nahin banaya to mera bhi naam Salman Khan nahin.” What followed was a series of police complaints against the actor and a plethora of press conferences, where Zubair said that he’s no Vivek Oberoi that Salman can keep unemployed. Bhai, although, never commented on the same. But the two would never come face to face again!
