5 theater actors who will shine in 2017

Here are a few theater artists who will make it BIG this year

 

Bollywood has given us brilliant artists showing their diverse talent via various mediums. The theater is undoubtedly one of the roots from where we have got most of our amazing actors from. The myth that theater performers cannot get lead roles easily no longer holds true. Now, we have theater actors have been blooming in the industry and how.

Not only are they performing their roles to perfection but are also assuming the status of being lead performers in quite a few prominent films. They have been at the forefront of breaking all stereotypes and now are playing pivotal characters leading protagonists of films.

Let’s look at some of these really fine artists who will take charge in upcoming Bollywood films this year.

 

1) Jim Sarbh

People have loved to hate him in Neerja and he has proven his potential of attracting eyeballs to the screen despite having a negative role in the film. Even he comes from theater and now we will see him in a full-fledged role in Raabta, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon.

 

2) Kirti Kulhari

Kirti, who also hails from the theater, gained a lot of praise and notice for her performance in PINK. Earlier, she had played comparatively smaller roles in past but she received a ton of appreciation for the same. Now, with the efforts being noticed for good, this actress has already bagged two leading roles, one in Madhur Bhandarkar‘s Indu Sarkar and another one opposite Irrfan Khan in an untitled Abhinay Deo project.
3) Manav Kaul

Manav began his career by directing theater plays. He never expected much but he received many opportunities from Bollywood which he grabbed. Being a theater artist and doing the most noticeable characters, he will now be seen in Tumhari Sullu opposite Vidya Balan.

 

4) Sayani Gupta

Sayani has been blending in all the characters we have seen her playing till current date. not just with her looks but she does it with such ease that we feel it is not the character but her feeling the emotions. After portraying characters like Khanum from Margarita With A Straw, Hina from Jolly LLB2 and much more, we will now be seeing her in the film The Hungry starring Naseeruddin Shah as the lead female protagonist.

 

5) Rasika Dugal

Rasika does really simple but heart-warming characters which a common man can easily connect to. As she comes from theater, she believes the length of the role doesn’t matter in comparison to how good the character is. But she is now going to be seen as the female lead in Nandita DasManto opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui, essaying the role of Safia Manto.
