John Abraham starrer political spy thriller Madras Cafe is a must watch. The film was set during the late 80s and early 90s, during the time of Indian invasion in the Sri Lankan civil war and the assassination of former Indian prime minister Rajiv Gandhi. The film deals with an Indian Army special officer who is appointed by the intelligence agency R.A.W. to head covert operations in Jaffna shortly after the Indian peacekeeping force was forced to withdraw.

The 2015 Neeraj Pandey film was a mirror of the terrorism which is happening in today’s India. The film has Akshay Kumar as an undercover agent and his team ‘Baby‘ fighting against to eliminate terrorists who are looking forward to attacking India.
3. Sarfarosh
Aamir Khan’s Sarfarosh which released in 1999 is till date one of the best films based on the terrorism in India. The film which released during the time of the Kargil conflict when tensions between India and Pakistan were high and is based on the life of an Indian police officer and his journey to stop cross-border terrorism.
4. Black Friday
Black Friday by Anurag Kashyap is probably the most unabashed horrifying reality of the world of terror. The film was based on the 1993 serial bomb blasts in Mumbai. The film tried to recreate every event and the intense feelings that happened during the attacks.
5. Kurbaan
The Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Kurbaan was based on an underground organization’s attempt at injecting fear by means of terrorism in the United States. It also shows philosophical arguments over the corruption of religious beliefs in an attempt to improve the damage to non-involved Muslims the world-over.
