Saqib and Huma never rehearsed together for Dobaara

For any real life siblings, it’s a tricky situation to be working together as professionals. Having the support of a sibling during work can be a blissful thing in a rather stressful environment. But, seems like actor-siblings Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem had a different take on it.

During the shoot of their soon-to-be-released film Dobaara, the actors never held collective rehearsals for their scenes, which is an unconventional approach to take. Not that they couldn’t stand each other or the decision was taken due to any other professional egos, but as siblings, they wanted to surprise each other with their acting skill sets. Both the actors have carved their own path in Bollywood. Huma, being the elder one of the two, has always been supportive of Saqib‘s decisions and has always been a guiding soul to him.

On Saqib’s suggestion, they decided to run this exercise, the end result of which will soon be available for all of you to see on June 2. Incidentally, they play onscreen brother and sister in the film, which is a psycho-thriller and an adaptation of the movie Oculus.

When we probed Saqib on the topic, he said “Yes, it is true that we didn’t rehearse as we both are competitive actors and love improvising .. I think it was also the fact that we wanted to surprise each other on set.. A bit of sibling rivalry is fun I guess”

Dobaara, an adaptation of Oculus, will hit theaters on June 2nd!
