Stephen Hillenburg, Spongebob Squarepants Creator Passes Away At Age Of 57

Spongebob Squarepants is by far the most famous cartoons to air on television channels across the globe. The cartoon has entertained us for a long time and there were several movies made on the cartoon too.

Stephen Hillenburg, who created the cartoon passed away last night. The cause of the death was motor neurone disease which is also known as ALS.

A statement from the company said this “Steve imbued ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ with a unique sense of humour and innocence that has brought joy to generations of kids and families everywhere. His utterly original characters and the world of Bikini Bottom will long stand as a reminder of the value of optimism, friendship and the limitless power of imagination.”
