Fox Star Studios: This recognition gives us further confidence

2016’s blockbuster, Neerja was indeed one of the most deserving films of the prestigious National Film Award! And, the moment when Fox Star Studios finally received the black lady for this nerve-gripping story, they were extremely humbled. Here’s what they had to say:

A humbled Vijay Singh, CEO of Fox Star Studios said “It is a huge honor for Fox Star Studios to have got this incredible recognition from the National Awards picking ‘Neerja‘ as the Best Film! It’s hugely exciting & humbling that we are now the only Studio to have won two National Awards for Best Film (Jolly LLB 1 and now Neerja). Also, Atul Kasbekar, the co-producer of the film, who was also deeply honored added “No one could have scripted this. The recognition that Neerja has got from everywhere is genuinely humbling. Ram Madhvani and I were clear that we’d be achingly honest in its making. Neerja stars Sonam Kapoor as Neerja Bhanot, the brave cabin crew member who, while saving the lives of the passengers on a hijacked plane, lost her own in 1986. She was 23 at the time.
