J.P Dutta to direct Abhishek and Pulkit in his next war film!

J.P Dutta has an elaborate filmography which includes smash hits such as Border, LOC Kargil, Refugee and Umrao Jaan. It is well known that post Umrao Jaan (2006), Dutta kept away from the Bollywood scene for reasons best known to him.

As per our Khabri Keeda, Dutta is all set to make his comeback to the silver screen with a yet another war film. It will be based on the Indo-China war of 1962. The movie is titled Paltan.

As per KK, the film will feature Abhishek Bachchan and Pulkit Samrat. However, there were speculations that the movie will also see Sooraj Pancholi, but a source close to the development clarified by saying “There are reports doing the rounds of Sooraj Pancholi starring in filmmaker J P Dutta’s forthcoming film Paltan. Sooraj is not doing the film. The reports are baseless and completely untrue.”

If KK is to be believed, the film will be shot extensively in Sikkim and Ladakh and the locations and the permissions for shooting in these locations have already been secured by the filmmaker. The film is expected to go on floors soon.

We had been waiting for Dutta to come up with a war film for quite some time now. It looks like dreams do come true!
