Is Ranveer Singh playing a Sardar in YRF’s next?

Yesterday, we reported how Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will pair opposite each other for the first time outside the direction of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, now reports say the Befikre actor will play the role of a Sardar for the first time in his career. It’s also being reported that the film will be made under the direction of Maneesh Sharma, the man who made his debut along with Ranveer in YRF’s Band Baaja Baaraat in 2010.

However, when contacted about the same to YRF, the production house denied any such news. Currently riding high on the sleeper success of Hichki and busy with the production of their much-ambitious action-adventure flick, Thugs of Hindostan, the production house also has a film with Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor.

Even though, nothing regarding the news mentioned above is confirmed, it shall still be refreshing to see Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in a modern rom-com, just like Jab We Met or Love Aaj Kal.

Given both the actors’ busy and hectic schedules, it seems they’ll still take time to reunite on the big screen. All we can do is hope to see them the fourth time around.
