Is ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ being delayed?

There is immense curiosity about the sequel to Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (2012). Fans are waiting with bated breath to watch the second film of the franchise, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, which marks the comeback of the Salman-Katrina jodi on the silver screen. While the 2012 action thriller was directed by Kabir Khan four years ago, ‘Sultan’ director Ali Abbas Zafar has been roped in to direct its sequel. However, we have some news that might upset Salman and Kat fans. Our Khabri Keeda tells us that ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ will be delayed!

Going by the current mood of the nation, people are not very keen to watch an Indian RAW spy and a Pakistani ISI agent in love and hence the makers think this is not the right time for the film to release. Hence, they have decided to delay the film, which is yet to go on floors. Is that also the reason why Katrina’s character has been painted with shades of grey in ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’? Also, the incident of Kabir Khan being heckled at Karachi airport by Pakistanis in April this year is still fresh in everyone’s mind! (All these make us wonder whether the film will see the light of day at all!)

As we have reported earlier, the makers of ‘Race 3’ have already approached Ali Abbas Zafar to direct the film. If the ‘Sultan’ director agrees to direct ‘Race 3’ then he might convince Salman Khan to play a baddie in the film. Salman is presently shooting for Kabir Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ and was about to start shooting for ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ after finishing ‘Tubelight’. However, now that the film has been delayed, we are guessing that the superstar might have time on his side and Ali Abbas Zafar might manage to make him agree to ‘Race 3’!
