Katrina’s role in ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ revealed!

Christmas 2017 sounds promising, thanks to Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reuniting for ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. If the Bollywood industry buzz is anything to go by, Katrina will be playing a negative role and interestingly Katrina has not played an onscreen baddie before.

A source close to the film says, “While in ‘Ek Tha Tiger,’ Katrina was just seen as a lovely prop, in the action-drama ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ you will get to see the actress doing a lot of action for the first time. Katrina has never done hard-core, high-octane action before in any of her films, like hand-to-hand-combat or flying into the air, so she will have to undergo training for it.” Salman and Katrina will share screen space after four years post their last film together, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’.

There are lot of speculations around the project till Kabir Khan confirmed the news of the much awaited prequel of his 2012 blockbuster. However, the sequel of the film will not be directed by Kabir Khan. This time around, Ali Abbas Zafar of ‘Sultan’ fame will sit in the director’s chair and we are expecting a slick movie.

Ali Abbas Zafar has been quoted saying, “I am writing spontaneously, going with my instinct. I chose to do the film because of the pressure of it. Directing Katrina and Salman in an instalment of a successful franchise is not easy. But, I am focusing on telling a more relevant story for today’s political climate. The characters are from the first part, but the story will be brand new.” He further added, “We plan to shoot at several overseas locations. Usually, my films are set in India. I often start a story in London or Budapest and invariably end it in Haryana or Kolkata. This time, the story will call for fancy locations; there will be a valid reason why the guys are in a new country. Finally, my passport will come to some good use.”
