Big B, SRK, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar- The most inspiring men of B’Town!
In case you were unaware, November 19 is celebrated as International Men’s Day. And given how the country’s population, particularly the millennial, seems to be at an impressionable age at least once, Bollywood actors seem to be the people to be inspired by. Here’s a list of some men from B’Town who still continue to perspire to inspire:-
1. Amitabh Bachchan
The man who began his journey in 1969 and still has the ability to give the younger lot of actors a run for their money, the Shahenshah of Hindi Cinema, famously rechristened as Big B, has always been one of the most inspiring figures in the country. From his unparalleled style to unmatched simplicity, the man has it all, and is already gearing up for as many as three films next year- Brahmastra, Jhund and Badla. For him, age is just a number! But the number of people inspired by him may only increase in the next few years!
2. Shah Rukh Khan
He isn’t called King Khan for any reason. The actor has been baptized by the nation because of his magnetic on-screen persona and effortlessness in swooning his leading ladies with his infectious charm. But the one aspect of Shah Rukh Khan that inspires people the most is his Self-Made stardom. From winning a-thousand hearts on Television with Circus and Fauji to dominating the silver screen with his rawness and rakishness, SRK, fondly abbreviated, will always be one of the most rousing and stimulating stars of Hindi Cinema.
3. Aamir Khan
He was the conventional, charismatic and charming boy-next-door when he debuted in films in 1988. Girls drooled over his screen presence and critics admired his unconventional film choices. Aamir Khan has essayed almost every character life and cinema have to offer. From an aimless rouge in Rangeela to a dare-devil cop in Sarfarosh, from an upright villager in Lagaan to a careless freak in Dil Chahta Hai, the actor has done it all. He’s one actor who lets the content of his films speak more than his colossal stardom. And he also happens to be the inspiration of multiple aspiring and established actors of B’Town.
4. Salman Khan
He’s the man of the masses, he’s the Bhai of Bollywood. He is what he is for his larger-than-life persona that perpetually towers the films he occupies. Salman Khan almost revolutionized the shirtless gimmick after he crooned to that timeless number in 1998. When it comes to muscles and abs, he’s the one to look up to. And when it comes to the subtle art of not giving a damn, he’s the one to look up to…again!
5. Akshay Kumar
What Salman did for the gyms, Akshay Kumar did for Martial Arts. And just like SRK, he too broke into the world of Bollywood without any film lineage or godfather. When we see Salman, Hrithik or Tiger today, we exclaim- What a great body! When we see Kumar, we say- What a fit and healthy body! And his movies may not have been cult classics or critics’ favorites, but have often guaranteed loads of entertainment and box-office profits. He’s truly the Khiladi of Bollywood!
