Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju ends up in a MAJOR legal trouble!
Sanju, the Rajkumar Hirani directorial starring Ranbir Kapoor hit the theatres last month and the movie is been doing quite well at the box-office. It showcased different phases in the life of actor Sanjay Dutt who lived a very controversial life. The actor was shown as a self-destructive drug addict, alcoholic, a man who was in possession of arms and ammunition and even a womanizer. But, one of the scenes which pertain to the phase when Dutt came into the possession of the dreaded AK-56 has come under the eyeballs of a certain Abu Salem for all the wrong reasons.
For those who have seen the film, they would remember the scene in which Ranbir as Sanjay is seen acquiring arms from Abu Saleem. This didn’t go well the gangster, who filed a defamation case against the makers seeking publication of contradiction to the wrong information about him in the movie and an apology.
The notice read as, “The scene where Ranbir Kapoor (pictured as Sanjay Dutt) gives a confessional statement about possession of arms and ammunition during communal tension around our country in 1993, is defaming my client (Salem), as my client never supplied the arms and ammunition, as alleged to Sanjay Dutt, as pictured in the film.” It also added that the contents in the film are, “extremely insinuating, disparaging and defamatory attacking the reputation of Salem.”
Oh god, what will the makers do now? Let’s wait and watch!
