IT’S OFFICIAL: Amitabh Bachchan will play a teacher in Jhund!
Amitabh Bachchan never really shies from picking up unconventional subjects and it seems like as long as the intention behind a film is good and it is helmed by a director who is fairly capable of telling that story, he does not mind giving a good nod to it. Else, why do you think he would hop onto films like a Thugs Of Hindostan and Brahmastra?
Adding to that, speculations had been rife for quite some time about the Mahanayak of India joining forces with Nagraj Manjule, the director of the Marathi blockbuster Sairat for a film for the longest time. Some reports claimed that he is pretty much on board, while a report came in right after that which claimed that he turned down the Sairat director’s next.
But, this tweet by noted trade analyst Taran Adarsh will put an END to all the speculations that have been making rounds.
Check it out right here:

Speaking about the film in question, Savita Raj Hiremath, it’s co-producer revealed some INTERESTING details by saying,
“I was thinking of starting my next Bollywood venture and was looking for an emotional and relevant subject which would connect with the masses and channelize today’s youth into positive energy. Since the last three years, I have been looking for such subjects and one of them is a biopic of Vijay Barse who promoted slum soccer in India and showcased Indian talent to the world.”
“Jhund is the slum soccer film which shows that there is a hero in all of us… And it’s only a matter of opportunity life gives you,” She adds.
Now, will it not be exciting to see our Mahanayak in a space like that?
