Is Salman Khan’s Race 3 team unafraid of Rajinikanth?
Yesterday, we had reported how Salman Khan’s Race 3 and Rajinikanth’s Kaala would be clashing at the box-office this EID. However, given the fearlessness of Salman Khan and his world-famous Dabangg attitude, the actor and his Race 3 family will be and probably are unafraid of this massive clash. The reason is simple, regional films don’t really fare well in dubbed languages. With the exception of a monster called Baahubali, none of the films from the south have struck a chord with the Hindi film audiences, not even the ones featuring Rajinikanth and even Kamal Haasan.
Talking about Thalaiva’s last outings that released in North India, only Robot managed to open well and that too because of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s presence as well. Rest, all his films like Sivaji: The Boss, Lingaa and Kabali were no-shows at the ticket windows. Given the limited appeal these dubbed films have with other audiences, Race 3, it seems, doesn’t have to worry about its theatrical run. However, it will be a Rajinikanth show all the way down south, particularly in Chennai, where he isn’t only celebrated but worshiped. Whatever the fate of these films is, it’s surely the Clash of the Titans on the 15th of June, 2018.
