The film will be depicting the aspirational struggle of Zaira who sets out to achieve her dream of being a singer. Aamir Khan will be seen playing the character of Shakti Kumar, a musician and reality show judge.

Secret Superstar is directed by debutant Advait Chandan and co-produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Akash Chawla and Zee Studios. The musical drama also features Meher Vij, Raj Arjun, Tirth Sharma, Kabir Sheikh and Farrukh Jaffer.
