Being an RJ is not easy and Vidya Balan understands that well. It requires a great amount of attention and focus since it requires a great amount of voice modulation.
Our Begum Jaan will soon be seen in the avatar of a radio jockey in her upcoming film ‘Tumhari Sulu’ which will also mark the Bollywood debut for Radio Mirchi’s RJ Malishka who will also be seen as a radio jockey. The film is being directed by Suresh Triveni and will also feature Neha Dhupia as Vidya’s boss.
In order to give the best shot possible, the powerhouse performer has taken the decision to cut her ties with the outside world by switching off her phone the moment she enters the sets. This surely goes to show that when at work, Balan only means business.
Constant text message alerts and phone calls can be really annoying when an actor is in character mode, and Vidya is no exception. Given the kind of focus that an RJ needs to have when he/she is live, seems like Balan has taken the right step.
