Since the satirical love story has received positive reports from across the country, the film is expected to show a good jump on the weekend. The film also has a big advantage of a public holiday on Independence Day, (15th August) and a partial holiday of Pasi New Year on 17th August.
Toilet: Ek Prem Katha showcases the issue of proper sanitation for women in India. It features the story of Keshav (Akshay Kumar) and his wife Jaya (Bhumi Pednekar), set in two villages near Mathura. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is a take on the struggles against the age-old practice of public defecation.
Along with Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar, the film also stars Divyendu Sharma, Sudhir Pandey, and Shubha Khote in supporting roles.
