Manisha Koirala is making her comeback with the Sanjay Dutt Biopic!

Every time we hear something new with regard to the currently work-in-progress Sanjay Dutt’s biopic, it takes us to a new zenith of excitement. Who could have ever anticipated that the star who once romanced Sanju Baba on screen would now play his mother in his biopic?

You read that right, fellas! The female heart rob of the good old 80’s and 90’s era, Manisha Koirala is now gearing up for her comeback in the Sanjay Dutt biopic as Nargis Dutt! She is ready to make up for all the years that we have missed her on the big screen due to her tumultuous personal life and her medical conditions, and boy what a comeback she has chosen.

“Yes, Manisha is playing Nargisji. She’s a wonderful person, extremely sweet.” – confirms the ace director.

“We were thinking of many actresses. And while Manisha is really pretty and a fantastic actress, my primary reason for taking her is that she’s a cancer survivor and, having been through the journey herself, can identify with Nargisji’s fight with the Big C” added Hirani.

Manisha Koirala is now cured of ovarian cancer, which she had been fighting all these years in New York. Rajkumar Hirani is known for putting up brilliant unconventional acts with an unconventional cast, and we have the same expectations from this one. Here’s the cast list that we know of thus far:

· Ranbir Kapoor as Dutt

· Dia Mirza as his wife Manyata

· Sonam Kapoor as his earlier love interest

· Vicky Kaushal as his friend from U.S.A.

· Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt

The movie went on floors this January, and it’s set for a 2017 release. RK Jr. is bulking up to match the 57-year-old’s rugged body for the same.

An unusual cast, an interesting story to tell, and an ace filmmaker at the helm of it all. We are all the more curious to know more about Sanjay Dutt’s life!
