Vir Das goes to Pakistan!

Vir Das surely knows how to speak his mind, and owing to his incredible on-stage confidence, he is currently one of the most celebrated and successful comedians in India. His recent International debut with Netflix made him the first Indian artist to have his own special on the platform. The international media is abuzz with the potential of Vir Das, who now seems to be making his way into a far more superior league of his own.

Now, the comedian is keeping busy with his recently announced The Boarding Das world Tour,  for which he’s set to visit 26 countries in 2018. Thanks to his Netflix special, Abroad Understanding, his fan base has just gotten wider. Such is the growing popularity of Vir Das that he has been asked to add extra shows in Australia next week because the tickets to his Australian tour have sold out in advance.

Hundreds of people from Pakistan have written to Vir to perform in their country for a one-time special show. Owing to the growing requests, Vir and team now are working around a way to actually do a show in Pakistan as a part of his world tour which is currently underway.

When asked Vir, he said,“My Netflix special talked a little bit about us putting our differences aside and extending friendship towards each other. I think a live show would be a wonderful manifestation of that. I hope it happens”

If all goes as planned, his fans from across the border will get to witness his live stand-up act real soon.
