Hindi Cinema’s current preoccupation with the genre of horror-comedy, funnily rechristened as horredy, continues with the Abhay Deol and Patralekha-starrer, Nanu Ki Jaanu, whose trailer just dropped on social media today. After the debacle of Great Grand Masti and thunderous success of Golmaal Again, we have a yet another film where the narrative of the protagonist being trapped into the clutches of a ghost has been given a comedic touch.
One of the reasons to watch this film would be the abundantly adept Abhay Deol, who has some of the most spectacular pieces of work in his filmography. Be it the perpetually inebriated and haplessly-in-love Dev from Dev D or the charming and unruffled thief in Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, he’s one actor who has seldom struck a false note, even when his films have proven to be damp squibs. The other would be the equally effective and effortlessly sparkling, Manu Rishi, and it’s a delight to watch the actor getting the opportunity to chew up the scenery, at least in the trailer.

Also starring the Citylights actor, Patralekha, the film is slated for a release on the 20th of April, and we hope it finds an audience, as the trailer looks immensely promising. But that’s not all, a few months from today; we have to witness a yet another Horredy called Stree, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Patralekhaa’s alleged beau, Rajkummar Rao.
