Will Rajkumar Hirani make a sequel to 3 idiots after Sanju?

3 idiots emerged as the biggest blockbuster of Hindi Cinema in 2009. It took four years for a Bollywood film to surpass the milestone set by this campus comedy. Now, Rajkumar Hirani, the man behind the cult classic, is currently gearing up for the release of his much-awaited film, Sanju. But if sources are to be believed, the filmmaker may start working on the sequel to 3 idiots after the biopic’s release.

In one of his interviews, the filmmaker said, “I definitely want to make a sequel to 3 Idiots. In fact, Abhijat Joshi and I started writing something a few days ago. But it’s still in the initial stage and we will take a fair amount of time to develop the script.” However, the world may see Munna Bhai 3 before it witnesses 3 idiots 2, as Joshi and Hirani have almost finalized the script.

Let’s see whether both the sequels can live up to the cult of the previous films or not.
