Will Padmaavat break the box office records of Tiger Zinda Hai?
After facing a lot of controversies and death threats, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Shahid Kapoor starring is finally going to hit the screens tomorrow. The film is all set to in 2D, 3D, Imax 3D, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. This surely is a very big release for the film.
Apart from this, the film will also be enjoying a solo release as Akshay Kumar’s PadMan has now shifted its release date to the 9th of February. So Padmaavat will now release in approx 5000 to 6000 screens. But the question that arises is whether the film will be able to beat Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai record at the box office?
Tiger Zinda Hai became the biggest film of 2017. Not just in domestic market but even in the international box office the film performed well. TZH entered the 100 crore club within 3 days. The espionage thriller even opened to a massive 5700 screens worldwide, with India Screen Count being a mammoth 4600. The film currently stands with a grand total of Rs 334.28 crore.
Well, Padmaavat surely has a benefit when it comes to the screen count but due to the opposition from various communal groups, the film will face difficulty in the northern regions of India causing a loss to the makers.
