Will it be Ayushmann Khurrana or Rajkummar Rao for Deepika Padukone’s next film?

Deepika Padukone, who has finally signed her next film with Meghna Gulzar, not only as an actor but also as a producer (This marks her foray into film production), is still hunting for a leading actor for the story inspired by acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal. Reports state that Gulzar has zeroed down two choices for the same- Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao. Given both the actors are incredibly talented and gifted, the makers are in a fix!

However, the actor won’t have much of meat in his role as the narrative of the drama is woven completely around the character of Padukone. The actor would be required to shoot only for 25 days whereas the actress would be shooting for 45 days at a stretch. The film is all set to go on floors in January next year and given it’s a woman-centric film, casting an A-lister is not on the makers’ minds.

It shall be interesting to see who’s cast opposite the actress!
