WHOA: Robot 2.0 Hindi theatrical rights sold for 80 crores!

Post Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Rajnikanth, and Akshay Kumar starrer  2.0 (Robot 2) are one of the biggest and most anticipated movies. Yesterday we brought to you some stills of the film where we saw Amy Jackson and Rajnikanth in their robotic avatar. Now, more big news from the film is out!

A leading daily quoted a source saying, “2.0 makers wanted over INR 100 crore. But the distributors weren’t too keen on paying the exorbitant amount because that would make the film risky.” So now the makers have finalised on selling the rights for a whopping ₹80 crores!

The source further added, “The exhibitors are sure that they won’t lose money on the price since Akshay’s presence will give it a pan-India reach.”

Directed by Shankar, the film also features Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain, and Sudhanshu Pandey. The music is composed by Academy Award winner A. R. Rahman.

2.0 (Robot 2) was scheduled to release during Diwali on 18 October 2017. But later the makers postponed the release date to January 25th next year.
