WHOA! Judwaa 2 Star Varun Dhawan Begged This Director For A Film

Varun Dhawan‘s next release, Judwaa 2 is right around the corner. He’s perhaps the only young actor who has a 100% strike rate. You must be thinking that, with a hit ratio like that of Varun’s, acclaimed filmmakers like Shoojit Sircar must be DYING to cast him in their next, right? You’re WRONG!

Turns out, it was actually the other way round. According to sources, it was Varun himself who had approached Shoojit Da and had requested to start a film with him. Lucky for Dhawan, Sircar was already toying with the idea of October at the time, and the rest is well known.

Wow! This will surely give anybody director goals! Make such movies that stars come to you, and not the other way round.

Talking about October, Shoojit said, “It’s again an out-of-the-box kind of story. we started working on this film’s idea, which came from a small newspaper clipping, right before Piku (2015).” Adding to that, Shoojit described October to be “a very unusual, unconventional kind of a story” in the “slice-of-life and romance space”.

Let’s see what kind of magic does the Varun-Shoojit jodi bring to the silver screen.
