When Salman Khan BURNT DOWN his first paycheque!
Salman Khan, as many know, has been the one who has had a generous heart from the beginning of time. But now, on the occasion of #ThrowBackThursday, we are going to tell you about one such instance which probably changed his life FOREVER!
Not many people know that when Salman received his FIRST EVER paycheque, which was a token amount of Rs. 5000 for his debut film Maine Pyaar Kiya, he actually BURNT IT DOWN. Well, in the 80’s, that kind of cash was worth A LOT of money! So, why did he do it? Well, his father Salim Khan was to blame!
Only die-hard Salman fans know that he is quite a bikes fanatic and back then, it was no different. Then, Salman wanted to buy a cool and then trendy Yamaha bike out of that money, which father Salim refused. So, in the midst of anger, he reduced the cheque to ashes.
Then, what happened after that? He got SLAPPED by his daddy dearest and was accused of having no value for money. It was then when Salim took charge of his finances, and, as per Bhai’s sister Alvira, it lead to him NOT signing a cheque until the age of 48!
It is since then that now Salman only spends 10 percent of his income on him and he hands over the rest to his father.
Wondering how that probably changed his life? Well, maybe if it wasn’t for Salim, he may not have crossed the likes of Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar on this Forbes list!
Destiny plays out in ways which are almost always beneficial for a human being, and maybe Salman sees the truth in that now after all these years.
