WHAT! Ranveer Singh’s Simmba to be postponed to 2019?
Simmba, Rohit Shetty’s next directorial, has been described by its leading man Ranveer Singh as his home territory. The actor always desired to star in a hardcore, mainstream commercial, popcorn entertainment, where he could play to the gallery and be completely unabashed in his mannerisms. This is what he had to say on working with Rohit Shetty, “ Simmba is my first collaboration with Rohit Shetty, which I know people are really excited about and me more than anyone to be diving into the masala genre with king of the genre. It is an incredible opportunity that I am extremely excited to be commencing.”
However, it seems both Ranveer and Rohit will have to wait a little more to work with each other, as the actor’s shoulder injury has led to the postponement of the film’s schedule. Now, reports suggest that the film will roll in June. Rohit also wants Ranveer to bulk up for his role, which is of a police officer. This is what Ranveer said about the same, “He is very keen that I have big muscles in the film. He has told me – Jab tu wardi pehenega na to wardi phatni chahiye.”
Also starring Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood, the film is scheduled to release on the 28th of December, 2018, but due to the postponement of the schedule, might move to 2019. Let’s see what lies ahead for Simmba.
