WHAT?! Padmavati to be screened in 3D?
There are simply not enough words to describe the sheer awesomeness Sanjay Leela Bhansali has shown us through the Padmavati trailer. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is amongst the few who can suck us into his self-curated world with the help of only a trailer. Now, it seems like the executives of a Hollywood production house, co-producers Paramount Pictures to be precise, were also floored by Bhansali’s magnificent vision.
A source spoke about the behind-the-door developments by saying, “The executives were excited after watching the trailer. They told producers Viacom 18 that the film must be seen in 3D for viewers to enjoy the filmmaker’s vision. Bhansali was on board too. The audiences will experience the battles fought in 3D and considering the film is being mounted on an approximate budget of Rs 170 crore, this decision would only make the film a bigger draw and increase its prospects at the box-office.”
But, given the limited time at hand, will Bhansali and team be able to deliver a 3D version ahead of its December 1 release?
The source answers the question by saying “Until then, everything is being kept under wraps. Given that time is a constraint, ahead of the film’s December 1 release, a team of Hollywood technicians is working on making it suitable for a 3D outing, as the patchwork continues in Mumbai, simultaneously.”
Wow. Talk about bringing a grand vision to life.
