Vivek Oberoi’s film, PM Narendra Modi, upsets Salman Khan, here’s why!
The much-talked about biopic on the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, starring Vivek Oberoi and curiously titled PM Narendra Modi, is currently under the radar of the Indian National Congress. The members of the political party are trying to stall the film’s release as they sense a propaganda behind the intention of narrating the PM’s journey from a tea stall to the PMO. They feel the biopic has been made with the agenda of serving the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. To add fuel to the fire, Javed Akhtar, renowned lyricist, slammed the makers for crediting him for the lyrics when he hasn’t written any song in the film.
If this was not enough, Salman Khan is the next in line to be furious at the entire team. Why? You may ask! Well, the film has used a song from one of his unreleased films, Dus (1997), Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walon, and this has angered the actor. A source said, “Since T-Series has the music rights of the film and Salman’s old track also has the copyright, there is no legal issue with regard to this. The Bharat star will not take any action since he does not want to ruffle Prime Minister’s feathers and he is close to T-Series too.”
With so much trouble lurking around the film, will it have a smooth release, and will it do well at the ticket windows? We’ll find out on April 5!
