Vidyut Jammwal’s Junglee gets an American Director!
Vidyut Jammwal has made his mark in the film industry with his action movies. Even though the movie Commando 2 did not make a mark at the box office, Vidyut’s act in the film was well appreciated. And now, not to everyone’s surprise, Vidyut Jammwal is all set to work in yet another action thriller. What makes this project different from his previous film is that the action flick will be directed by American-writer filmmaker Chuck Russell.
The film will feature Vidyut as a veterinarian-turned-activist-avenger and it will be titled Junglee. The story will be based on a man and an elephant. Junglee will have elements similar to Rajesh Khanna‘s 1971 film Haathi Mere Saathi.
The action thriller unfolds in the Jungles of Kerala and will be shot in the state’s elephant reserve. Vidyut will be seen playing the character of Ashwath who is coming home from Mumbai for his mother’s 10th death anniversary. Vidyut will begin shooting for the film in October.
Chuck Russell is known for films like The Mask, The Scorpion King, Eraser, and A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.
It will be exciting to see this combination work magic on the big screen. Are you excited for Vidyut’s new action avatar? Let us know in the comments!
