Akshay Kumar recently posted on his Twitter account that people can bid to win the actual Naval Officer uniform that the actor proudly flaunted in his courtroom drama, Rustom, in 2016. He also added that the auction’s proceeds will be donated to the animal welfare and rescue. Have a look for more details:-

In case you didn’t know, Salt Scout is a website that hosts auctions of celebrity-related items with proceeds going to social causes. Little did Mrs. Funny Bones know that this initiative would invite backlash and not backing by people. One of the users, by the name of Sandeep Ahlawat, slammed Akshay Kumar and Twinke Khanna for their so-called initiative and posted a rebuttal on his Facebook account:-
Twinkle, expectedly shocked and appalled by such threats, had this to say:-
As a society do we really think it’s all right to threaten a woman with bodily harm for trying to raise funds for a charity by auctioning a uniform used in a movie,a piece of film memorabilia ? I will not retaliate with violent threats but by taking legal action! #JaiHind https://t.co/OF7e5lTHel

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is yet to comment on this issue. On the work front, the actor is gearing up for his next sports drama, Gold, releasing on the 15th of August, 2018. He would next be seen in Kesari, scheduled to come out by Holi 2019. He’s also all set to star in the fourth installment of the Housefull franchise, scheduled to release on Diwali 2019. As far as his biggest film till date, 2.0, is concerned, the release date of this mammoth sci-fi adventure still hangs in the balance.
