Tanushree Dutta files a 10 crore defamation suit against Rakhi Sawant!

As we all know, the MeToo movement was started when actress Tanushree Dutta accused senior actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment on the sets of Horn Ok Pleassss, an incident that happened back in 2008. Well, a few days ago, Rakhi Sawant, who replaced her in the song, called a press conference and accused the actress of consuming drugs and for being unconscious for four hours. She even passed a number of snide comments about her image and even went on to say that she was cooking up stories against Nana.

Now, according to the latest news, Tanushree has responded to her allegations and has filed a Rs 10 Crore defamation suit against Rakhi. While speaking to a leading daily, Tanushree’s lawyer Nitin Satpute was quoted saying, “We have filed a criminal and civil defamation case against Rakhi Sawant for maligning my client’s character and image. If she fails to revert, she will be punished for two years or fined or both.” 

Meanwhile, after Tanushree, many women from the industry came forward with their Me Too stories and named many prominent personalities from Bollywood including Sajid Khan, Alok Nath, Rajat Kapoor, Kailash Kher and many more as sexual predators.
