Sushant Singh Rajput & Sara Ali Khan starrer Kedarnath in trouble yet again!
Seems like Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan starrer Kedarnath is going through a lot of hurdles. Earlier some priests from the town of Kedarnath raised objection over the movie and demanded a blanket ban on its release as they alleged that the movie promoted Love-Jihad.
Now according to the latest news, a PIL (Public Interest Ligitation) has been filed against the movie by Swami Darshan Bharti which claims that Lord Kedarnath has been insulted in the film. They claimed that the film is an “ugly taint” on the Hindu shrine. It further claimed that the trailer of the film showed Muslims have been residing in the area for ages while there are no residents from their community in the area.
Talking about it Sara Ali Khan was quoted saying in an interview, “The only feeling you have is prayer, which is not a feeling really. There was this constant thought that everything should work out. I will be a huge liar if I say it did not affect me. It was terrifying because we were so attached to the project. I would keep calling Gattu (Kapoor) sir, every day and ask, ‘Sir, sab theek hai? Thank God, things worked out in the end.”
Set in the backdrop of the Kedarnath tragedy, the film is about the love affair between a Muslim porter and a Hindu girl on a pilgrimage to the centuries-old shrine. Helmed by Abishek Kapoor the movie is set to release on 7th December.
