Sunny Leone’s new Navratri condom ad lands her into trouble
Sunny Leone who is the brand ambassador of Manforce condoms has landed her herself into a new controversy.
A Navratri themed condom ad featuring Sunny Leone has hurt the religious sentiments of people in Surat. The message on the hoarding reads, “Aa Navratri a ramo, parantu premthi (Play but with love, this Navratri).” This has led to a controversy and The Confederation of All India Traders has written a letter.
Minister for Consumer Affairs Ram Vilas Paswan has called this tactic a “clear irresponsible and immature attempt to boost sales by putting all our cultural value system at stake”.
However, the ad made sense to some people as according to a report by Times Of India the sale of condoms to increase by 30 percent during this season.
