Sui Dhaaga: Varun Dhawan gets INJURED while shooting!

Off late, we have witnessed that a lot of actors have now somewhat become adamant on performing their own stunt sequences in the film, even after being severely warned about the risks that come with it. Now, a certain Varun Dhawan also tried to be a part of the list of those examples, but, unfortunately, it didn’t pay off so well for him.

A source close to the unit of his upcoming film, Sui Dhaaga, revealed that the scene in question sees Varun’s character Mauji engage in a street brawl and subsequently roll down a flight of stairs. While director Sharat Katariya wanted a body double to perform the stunt, the actor insisted on doing the sequence himself.

To which, the source added, “The director clearly told Varun of the risk involved in the scene and tried to dissuade him from attempting the stunt. But Varun was adamant. Unfortunately, while filming, one of the steps in the staircase gave way and in the process, he sustained injuries on his head, including a gash on the forehead.”

What followed that? Well, isn’t it obvious already?

Anyways, the source in question concluded by saying, “The doctor assured Sharat, Anushka and the crew that Varun’s injuries were minor, but recommended bed rest to the actor for the day. However, Varun resumed shooting after resting for a few hours as he didn’t want to delay the schedule in any way,”

Now, that’s what you call a superstar, don’t you think so?
