SRK supports Dipa Karmakar!
India has been trying hard to achieve gold at the ongoing Rio Olympics and Dipa Karmakar, our gymnast was a strong contender. She is only 23-years-old and unfortunately she came in 4th and just missed a medal at the games. Never the less she still created history by becoming the first Indian gymnast to make it to the finals, after finishing eighth in the qualifiers for the vault.
And though she couldn’t outperform her competitors in the finals, her zeal has won over millions of hearts all over the world.
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently took to Twitter and posted a picture of Dipa performing vaults with a caption that read, “U make us believe v can fly & ur smile is even more inspiring. U r a true champion. Thk u.”
That was truly sweet and gentlemanly of SRK and he just proves time and again how he encourages the women athletes in India.
On the work front, Shah Rukh will next be seen in ‘Raees’ that also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan. The movie is slated for a Republic Day release.
