SRK: Real life train journeys have not been as romantic and beautiful as the Reel ones

‘Raees’ promotion takes SRK on an August Kranti Rajdhani rail ride with his crew member’s to Delhi. The Bollywood Badshah enamored his admirers through his outward show and amused the media with anecdotes of his train journeys.

It seems that the B-Town superstar was in a good mood to answer all the questions thrown at him at length. Team ‘Raees’ wanted to take a trip to as many cities as possible to promote the film and they were also planning to call everyone on the train and do the whole media interaction there.

In an interview with a tabloid, SRK commented, “It’s different with every film. During ‘Chennai Express’ we could just go in a mall and dance, with ‘Happy New Year’ we could do anything, but this film we cannot do all that because it has a different kind of dignity attached, even though it’s a popular film. So I didn’t know what to do, where do I go and how do I talk to people about ‘Raees’. We first thought we will just stick around in Mumbai and meet people here. But we have a few days left so we thought maybe we can meet people from different cities and a member from my team said that we should take a train ride. There’s also a small train sequence in the film so he said trains are very closely attached to your being. ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’, ‘Chennai Express’, even ‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman’ had a train, ‘Main Hoon Na’ had me come out of a train, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ had me see-off one of the ladies in a train. It’s been long since I traveled in one, but all the talk in the improvement of the conditions of trains is true. We are in the second class right now. When I walked in I thought this is the first class before because during our times the first class looked like this.”

He shared some of his experiences of traveling in a train from Agra to Delhi when he used to earn Rs 50 by being an usher at a Pankaj Udhas concert. He further shared about the violent incidents he encountered while traveling to Mumbai. He also mentioned that he doesn’t mind traveling through private jets as he gets time for himself.

With SRK commenting on Raees’ dignity, we are positive this film will break the box office!
